As a visual mark of its upcoming fundraising event, I worked with the client to develop a seal design that could appear on a variety of giveaways and promotional assets.
This project began with a commission for an illustrated logo that could be used to mark a 5K in Colorado Springs to benefit an athletics foundation, particularly their swimming program for kids.
There were two strict parameters in designing the logo: we had to use the client's existing brand colors as well as their brand's illustration of Pikes Peak in Colorado.
Because this design would ultimately be used across a variety of merchandise and assets to promote and facilitate the special event, I opted for a versatile circle shape for the logo.
The final design uses the mountain graphic, bleeding off the edge of the content area, as a divider between two arcs of text. To communicate the scale of the mountainous terrain, the "5K" was placed behind the ascending slope.
